Evans Town Center

Evans Town Center is a 25-acre mixed-use downtown in the heart of Evans in Columbia County, Georgia.  The County is expected to undergo tremendous growth in the coming decades, and envisioned Evans as the prime location to provide the walkable center that the county lacks.

Columbia County recognized this and formed a public-private partnership with Meybohm Realtors and, in the summer of 2015, tasked MWA and Gibbs Planning Group with delivering the downtown plan.  The Master Plan provides a walkable downtown core that connects Evans Towne Center Park with a market pavilion and a cultural arts center across the street.  This master plan provides the community with a proper civic square, which is bound to be the postcard image of Columbia County for years to come.

The first mixed-use building has been completed.  The 2200-seat Columbian County Performing Arts Center opened in 2021.
